   Politics!  Who needs it?  Like a light going on in a dark room, a day came when I realized I needed to get serious about being involved in and knowing, what was really going on in my country. I realized I knew very little about the government and system that I was wholeheartedly trusting. Far too many of us elect officials and walk away thinking they will take care of everything for us. When I first began looking into the political scene, one of the things that was shocking to me was that there were actually people who would pledge their allegiance to a particular political party, simply because their father and grandfather had always voted for that party. It was like a family heirloom that was passed down through the generations. Or a chain letter passed down which must not be broken lest a curse come upon the offender. For the most part, I am talking about Republicans and Democrats.

     What I found out was surprising to me .The more I dug into political history, the more I saw how far both parties have strayed from the original standards and beliefs of those who served before them.  I found that the Democrats and Republicans today, do not hold the same beliefs as the  Democrats and Republicans of 50 or even 30 years ago. Looking at them today, I honestly think there is really very little difference between the two parties. Although, they do have one major common denominator in both of those parties and that is, that they are surrendering more and more of our freedoms in exchange for more government control over our lives. We desperately need to have a third party candidate.

        After seeing what happened to Congressman Ron Paul during the presidential campaigns at the hands of the mainstream media, I realize that there is something very unfair and unbalanced going on in the system. 

      Our nation as well as our freedoms are in very serious trouble and very few Americans realize what is actually happening behind the scenes.

           It seems Americans are so busy, they have no time to think. Our government is growing more powerful and bigger every year and exercising more and more control over the lives of the American people. Do you know that there are states that have laws that you cannot even have a garage sale at your private home or you cannot even cut down a tree on your own private property without a permit? Maybe this all sounds normal to you, but it sounds very abnormal to me .

         Lets take a look at the Social Security system and the way it is presently set up. All of our working lives, we must pay into the Social Security fund, it is mandatory, not voluntary. We are talking about thousands of your tax dollars accumulated over your whole lifetime, that is dumped into this fund, week after week, year after year. .

              The Social Security fund was initially set up to provide enough for you when you retired. Today, the Social Security fund is completely bankrupt and has been for many, many years. Why? Because the government has been tapping into the S.S. piggy bank for years. The taxpayer’s money should have been placed into a protected account earning interest for them from our working years, so that at retirement, their S.S checks would enable them to live a modest life. That is what the Social Security fund was initially supposed to do. Because that fund is bankrupt people are now forced to put money into 401K’s or IRA’s etc  to be able to survive retirement. To fix the bankrupt problem, one of the things that they are talking about doing is to raise the retirement age again. How wonderful !  So now instead of enjoying your golden years in retirement, you will get to work longer into your old age so they don’t have to pay you! But will that fix the problem? No. We are still trillions of dollars in debt and our government both past and present continues to give billions away to other countries!! Our money has been so mismanaged.  The American people need to hold these people accountable. These people are living high on the hog and we are fitting the bill. There is something wrong with this picture! This is only a drop in the bucket of the serious problems in our government and its system.

           In 2004 I was sent a letter from a very angry women who lives in Pennsylvania. She was writing to me about the Social Security system. This is part of what was in her letter: “ Do you know our Senators and Congressman do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it. Many years ago they voted in there own retirement  plan. In more recent years, no Congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan. For all practical purposes their plan works like this: When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die. Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments. For example, former Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800,000.00 [yes, that’s Seven Million eight hundred thousand dollars], with their wives drawing $275,000.oo during the last years of their lives. This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two dignitaries.

     Younger dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives. Their cost for this wonderful retirement is $0.00. This perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for them. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the general funds; Our tax dollars at work! From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay or have paid into,- every payday until we retire [ which amount is matched by our employer] we can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after retirement.”

        This woman really had me thinking. Take a moment and look at your pay stub. Look at how much you made and how much actually goes into your pocket. Yes , we do need  to pay taxes for roads, schools etc. I understand that, I am not by any means suggesting we do away with all taxes. But is anybody really watching what the majority of our tax dollars are going to fund? What president has any right to give other countries billions of our tax dollars when we are already bankrupt? If what this woman has said is true concerning the retirement package for Congressman and Senators, then we need to be asking why are they not living under the same retirement package that they have designed for the American taxpayer to live with!

      Many years ago Congressman Ron Paul had recognized much of the abuse in government. Ron Paul being a Constitutionalist and a lover of freedom for the American people, has been fighting to do away with many of these abuses. He is for limited government. At the moment our government is a huge monstrosity and getting bigger all the time. When you have time, sit down with a pencil and paper and start to make a list of all the various branches in our government [ if you possibly can !] . You will see a gigantic Octopus! And do you know what this Octopus eats? MONEY! Specifically, your money!  You will then understand what the words BIG GOVERNMENT really mean. Ron Paul is for downsizing government and its intrusion into the lives of American citizens. Listen to some of the things Ron Paul wanted to do away with when he was running for president earlier this year [ 2008]   ; Income tax, the IRS, the NEA, he is against the REAL ID ACT which would require all American citizens to have to have and carry  a National ID # to function in this country,[ does this sound like Nazi Germany? ]  He is against our country being pushed into World Government and losing our national sovereignty, thus forfeiting our Constitution which is the only document that could guarantee our freedoms. He is against the Patriot Act, he is against our country being the policeman of the world and fighting everybody else’s battles spending billions of American tax dollars to do it. He is for freedom in Health Care. I do not know if you are aware of this or not but we do not have freedom of Health Care in this country.

              Here is an example; I know of a couple who had a child who had Cancer. Before proceeding with the advice given to them by their doctor, they looked into the statistics of the success rate of those treatments he was recommending and found them to be very low. They began looking into alternative medicine and found a more natural treatment that had a 90% success rate at treating the type of Cancer the child had. So the parents decided to go with the treatment that had a better success rate. They told their doctor of their decision and he reported them to the authorities and the parents found themselves in court with the FDA fighting against them. These parents were being faced with charges of child abuse because of their refusal to go the medical route. Their child could have been taken away from them. Desperate to save their child’s life, they had to sell everything they had and leave the country so that they could have their child treated by this alternative medicine with the high success rate. Today, the child is completely well and free of Cancer, but the family has lost everything they worked for all their lives and are still in debt because the insurance companies only cover using the medical profession so they had no choice but to pay the expense out of pocket as well as the great expense of moving out of the country.

        They are now back in the U.S. and trying to start over and make a life again. I could go on, but I will leave it here. This is only a small portion of what Mr. Paul wanted to change. No wonder the mainstream media censored and suppressed his message!

      If he got into the Whitehouse there would have been a lot of down sizing  and house cleaning going on in there . These things he spoke of were not a bunch of empty campaign promises as most politicians make when campaigning. Ron Paul has been sounding the alarm for these changes and more, for many many years as a Congressman. Thankfully, there were a few in the mainstream media that would interview him and allow him to speak. Two of those were Glen Beck and Wolf Blitzer.

            Congressman Ron Paul is the Paul Revere of our day. This lone Texan has put aside his own reputation for popularity and took the lonely road of honesty and truth and he did it alone. In his service as Congressman for ten terms in the state of Texas, this noble man has served the people . For this, I hold this faithful servant in the highest regard. This man is in a class by himself. Unlike others, Ron Paul is a man who cannot be bought and it seems for this reason, the establishment fears him. Early in the race for the Whitehouse under the Republican ticket, the mainstream media was successful in suppressing his message of freedom for the American people and to put our government back under the Constitution that it has wonder so far away from. For years he has put out a Freedom Report that would inform the American people of wrong doings in our government and laws that were being put in place that would erode our freedoms .

                      This year as he traveled around the country, his message began to be heard and those that heard his message and understood it, have banded together in what is now being called, The Revolution. There are well over a million people all over the United States involved in this movement. He has gathered an incredible group of faithful supporters and I can understand why. This man is the real thing! The more I came to know about this noble Congressman, the more I loved the man. The problem is getting his message to the American people. Now, maybe you did not agree with everything Ron Paul stood for when he was running for president, but he’s not running for president anymore, so this is not about endorsing a presidential candidate its about regaining our freedoms and restoring our nation to the once great position it once held held. Liberty and justice for all!  

                 Here in America, our government was established to serve in the people’s best interest, not to rule over the people as the elite. I have found that there are some very serious things that are going on in our government that the American people need to know.  Our founding fathers knew the danger and oppression that could come from out of control government and this was why they fled their former countries in search of a place where they could live free. They called America the New World. And were filled with the hope that liberty and justice could be a reality for all the peoples.

              There were wars fought, there was bloodshed for our freedom, but it was finally within their grasp. In an attempt to secure that that freedom would never again be lost, those men drew up the most important documents that would separate the United States of America from any other country in the entire world . Those documents are; The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of the United States. The Declaration of Independence declares us a sovereign nation, independent from all other nations. The Constitution, is our nations written document that guarantee’s  us that our freedoms remain while in this sovereign nation. Think of the pledge of allegiance;” …and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all.”  Without these documents we have no freedom folks.

          Do you know that in the Second Amendment to the Constitution, it speaks of the necessity of having a well regulated Militia as being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms…..  The intention of this well regulated armed Militia was to keep the government in check, and to protect its citizens against government tyranny. And every single citizen has the right to keep and bear arms. 

           The Declaration of Independence, which separates our county from every other country in the world is being torn apart even as I speak, by our own governments, we are being pushed into a North American Union which is a huge step into World Government. Both Democrat and Republican governments in the past and present have sold us down the river. Pushing us closer to world government [ North American Union] without the knowledge or consent of the American people or Congress, Lou Dobbs of CNN reported on this [see below] .          Once our country goes into world government [New World Order], The Declaration of Independence will cease to exist because we will no longer be independent or sovereign. The Constitution which was written for us as an independent nation and is your legal document for your freedoms ,will vanish forever. When The United States of America vanishes, its Constitution will disappear with it. You, I, and your children, will be at the mercy of the dictates of a government and their decisions on everything we do. You will have no leg to stand on in any court of law. You will then be a part of World Government and answer to a World Court. There will be no Constitution.

           To try to tell you all that is taking place to erode our freedoms would entail writing a book. There is so much to know. When I first discovered much of this it was beyond belief. The more I dug into it, the more I discovered the hard truth of it all. Friends, we are in more than an economic crisis. Our very freedoms are hanging by a thread as well as the loss of our once great nation.

            Ron Paul is a Constitutionalist. He is a man of freedom for the American people. The more you know about this man, the more I think you will love him. He has a new book out called ; The Revolution: a manifesto by Ron Paul. Its good reading. If you are a freedom loving American , I implore you to get informed. If not for yourself then for your children. What kind of country are you leaving behind for them to live in  Do you want them slaves or free? Friends; Freedom is not free !  Join the Revolution that is now taking place all across our country. Find out everything you can about it, and please get involved and give your time, money and your energy to the spreading of it. We need people to form little groups all over the country, and people who can organize and lead in their towns. We all need to make the effort to advertise The Revolution all across the U.S. as I am doing right here. Spread it across the internet. Get bumper stickers made. Get creative. You’d be surprised what you could do with only a little time, energy, and imagination.

Okay, What do I do next , where do I go from here you may ask.

 Here are a few starting point tips.

1-   Get a copy of The Declaration of independence and a copy of The Constitution of the United States and the Amendments to the Constitution. Become familiar with them and what are your rights as an American citizen. {They sell both of these documents together in one little booklet. Amazon probably has them}

BEWARE- Many politicians today are giving a lot of lip service to the word Constitution, but many of them actually believe it to be a  “LIVING” document, and  “EVERCHANGING”. Don’t buy into that misconception. Stay with the authentic Constitution that remains the SAME and NEVERCHANGING! 

2-   Begin to inform others about what is going on in our government  and our loss of freedoms as well as our country. This is the very heart of the matter. Inform, Inform, Inform!  You can use my article here to copy and circulate to friends and family, or you can write your own.

3-  Start a small group in your town with fellow freedom lovers you pick up along the way, and begin meeting once a month and make plans on spreading the word to other fellow Americans. Collect money and make billboards in open fields on private property [especially property facing highways ]. Make bumper stickers, or stickers to put on all your outgoing envelopes.  [  www.websticker.com  is a great place to do this ] You can pitch in with friends and share the roll so the cost will be low. You can get brochures from Eagle Forum  [see below] and circulate them.  If you are good at writing, then send in a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.

 Get creative and think of all kinds of [ legal]  ways to get the message out to your fellow Americans.

4-   After you are familiar with the Constitution and what it says then start investigating what your Congressmen [women] and Senators believe and hold their feet to the fire and write them an tell them you want them to vote only what is in complete compliance with the Constitution and then keep an eye on them to be sure they are doing it. If they refuse and do not agree, vote them out of office and replace them with someone who will uphold the Constitution and that person may even be YOU.

5-  Stay in contact with Ron Paul through the website as well as other good sites working on the same goals such as break the Matrix [ see below] .Keep updated by watching the latest video’s and reading the latest articles.

6-  Make copies of this article and circulate it as well as e mail it to friends and family or write your own and circulate it.   Don’t reject small beginnings. 

What is the goal here? To inform every American of what is going on in our government [and the size of it] and the loss of our Constitutional freedoms under that government as well as losing our entire nation to World Government . To force our government back under the Constitution and to reduce the size of our government and its involvement in your personal life and liberties under that Constitution.  We can change this system from the bottom up. We need some loyal Constitution loving people in all aspects of our government.

Finally, this Revolution is a peaceful Revolution. Our goals will not be accomplished through hatred and violence. If you are looking for violence, please do not join us.
