LIFTED is an 8 piece live Hip-Hop crew based out of New York City.  In 2003 the members of LIFTED all met at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA where they began to hone their sound individually as well as collectively. In 2005, following a full band graduation from Berklee, Lifted moved to NYC where they quickly became a well known and dominant force in the underground Hip-Hop scene. Their very unique an individual sound sets them apart from other outfits and has to do with the groups instrumemtation. Utilizing Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Trumpet, Bass, Drums, 2 MCs, and a space station of keyboards to maximum potential.  All these elements allow for an incredibly rich and textured sound to the music bringing something original to the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre. Incorporating in 2006 under ON THE COUCH PRODUCTIONS LLC.....the members of LIFTED run their own show and write their own music together in house. Always.  Currently the band is in the studio mixing/mastering a compilation CD for the fall and recording for their next album which is set for an early spring release date.
