Greetings pop pickers. Eye was born under a wandrin' star in the year of our Lord, 1969. Eye am an author, commentator, historian, psephologist, publisher, and satirist, having graduated from the University of Bradford, in west Yorkshire, with a BSc and an M.A. in European Studies.
My political views are summarized as: carnivorous vegan, anti-semitic Zionist, fascist Trotskyite, homophobic lesbian, and white supremacist Rastafarian. Or put another way, I am an interested observer into the machinations of politricks, but I have no affiliations and instead can see the merits in different political arguments. Ultimately, all 'isms' are flawed attempts to heal humanity. Beware of anyone who has visions of how society should be. It usually ends in tears, not to mention bloodshed.
My religious views are summarized as: I believe in true Christian fellowship, not churches where you exchange a hello and a smile once a week. Ambassadors of Christ must get alongside one another each week and to represent Him when befriending the needy. Once a week Christianity however is vogue in a modern-day world where no-one has any time for anyone.
My personality can be summarized as: abrasive, belligerent, curmudgeonly, irascible, prickly, and tetchy; and these are my best qualities. Well actually, that was a slice of self-deprecating humor. There is nevertheless some grain of truth in associating those attributes to yours truly.
I have skirted around the periphery of the media, having been interviewed on Radio Ulster's 'Arts Extra' regarding the book 'The Song For Today; interviewed on BBC Radio Five Live in London regarding my knowledge of the Ashes cricket contests; and interviewed in London on Radio Five Live's 'Pienaar's Politics'. I can be found on Facebook under the anagram of Ron Gattway [such a lovely bloke is Ron].
I have been a prolific writer of non-fiction reference books, namely the following which I have lovingly inflicted upon an unsuspecting public:
