My Bio

I am a Christian dude who has been blessed with a lovely wife and two awesome kids, both boys.  I have a day job - I work at AT&T as a supervisor and keep quite busy there.  I also like music...of all kinds...and am thankful for the gift of music.  I also try and play music, mostly on my acoustic and electric guitars, but occasionally with the family synthesizer and djembe drum as accompaniment too.  Occasionally, I record my instrumental forays.  I will try and upload some more of the stuff I record, but I haven't recorded anything for over one year now.  So, it's about time I get to it.  My next song, not yet recorded, but maybe partially written, already has a title (the title came first in this case).  It will be called "16 Ton Epic" - it will either be my magnum opus or...not.  :^)  I have a couple of songs that I have written that have lyrics too - one that I feel truly was a gift because it was a melody and lyric that was going through my head one morning when I woke up in April 1995 - was a song called "Reign in Me".  I thank God for that tune - God has used it in my humble little life and at Monday night Bible Study and in a couple of churches.  Some day, with the proper recording equipment (I don't have a good mic for recording voice at present), I will get a decent recording of that tune.  Until then, my stuff will be mostly, if not all, instrumental.

God bless!

Hello Jim,

Its always wonderful to see a fellow christian join Got Crowd. I'm looking forward to checking out your songs here when you submit them. I tried to view your material on " the end of the world" but for some reason its not showing up. Try and upload again, it sounds interesting.

Many blessings, julia Smile

Hey fellow Got Crowder,
If you think that you might struggle to find suitable presents for your nearest and dearest this Christmas, then please consider the range of books that my publishing company has released in recent months.
If you know anyone who likes popular music, then they may be interested in:
The Song For Today by Jimmie Oliver; featuring a different song and news story for each day of the year; or
An Essential Guide To Music In The 1970s by Johnny Zero; a mini-encyclopedia on 'seventies rock and pop; or
A Concise Guide To Eighties' Music by Karl Vorderman; crammed full of information on rock and pop in the 1980s
If you know anyone who likes sport, then they may be interested in:
England Football Team, 1946-2006, A Complete Record by John Bull; or
The Ashes, 1945-2005, A Complete Record by Tony Wagtar; a book for cricket fans; or
The Five Nations/Six Nations, 1970-2009, A Complete Record by Ian Bronderson; a book for rugby fans
Alternatively, we offer a couple of offbeat and 'unique' books entitled:
How To Commit Suicide In Ten Easy Steps by KJ Rolling; or
Garry Potter And The Same Old Nonsense by David Backhim
Of course you could just follow the crowd and buy books written by celebrities who are less intelligent than you and whose lifestyle is funded by gullible people who foolishly worship them. What you choose to buy is a matter for you, but there are many good writers out there (including some of our own) who deserve to be taken seriously. It would be good to see genuine writers enjoy the kind of book sales this Christmas that the greedy celebrities are taking for granted. Thank you for your attention and I won't hassle you again. If you have any queries about the content or prices of my books, let me know. They can be sourced via online bookshops, such as Amazon and Blackwells.
                         Warmest wishes
                          Gary W
