                                         SOUL INSURANCE ?

                 We live in a world today where people want to sell you insurance for everything imaginable. Insurance for your car, home, health, fire, flood, tornado, earthquake, and so on. You get the point.  But how many people think about the importance of having Soul Insurance?

                   Many people have the mistaken idea that when a person dies they cease to exist. Do you know the Bible tells us something completely different ? It tells us that after the body dies that the spirit of that person will live on some place in eternity.

                   Now, just in case you make light of what a spirit is according to the Bible, let me explain. The Bible says the body without the spirit is dead. To simplify it, let me use some everyday terms.Lets use an example of a puppet. You can lay a clown puppet on your kitchen table and it will lay there lifeless. But once your hand is placed inside that puppet and you begin to move your hand , then the puppet comes to life. When the hand is removed from the puppet it remains lifeless again. The puppet is nothing more than a shell until some form of life is placed inside of it. That is exactly what the Bible teaches about the body of mankind and the spirit of the person living within that body. When you attend a funeral and look at a corpse, you are looking at the shell in which the person once lived and has now departed. But the Bible tells us that that person who once occupied that body is going to spend all of eternity someplace.You may say, well, I don’t believe in God or the Bible. Well, what if you are wrong? There is no second chance to change things.

                    The Bible speaks of only two places where mankind will spend all of eternity. One place is called Heaven and the other place is called Hell. The Bible describes Heaven as a wonderful place of eternal complete bliss, a place where we live with God and enjoy all the goodness and wonderful things he has always wanted us to have, a place so incredible that it is hard for us to even imagine in this present life. Hell on the other hand, is a place spent in eternal torment, burning in flames of fire with no end in sight and no way out. And guess what? We are the ones who choose where we will spend our own eternity. Friend, we have a good God. He desires none to spend eternity in Hell , 2 Peter 3:9. Hell was not made for mankind. It was made for the devil and his angels.

                  The Bible reveals to us that right now in this present world in which we live there are two opposing Kingdoms in existence, one is called the Kingdom of God and the other is called the Kingdom of Darkness [the devil] Luke 11: 17 – 20 & Col. 1:13 This was never God’s plan for the earth. God created the earth for mankind and for them to rule over it see , Gen. 1: 26 & Ps. 115:16.                       In today’s language, you can say God gave mankind the title deed to this earth. But this wonderful gift was lost back in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve choose to listen to the devil instead of listening to what God had said, Gen. 3 . They began to question what God had said and do things he specifically told them not to do, and their disobedience cost them everything that God had given to them, They no longer had complete control over the earth as God had desired but instead Satan now had control of everything upon the earth [Luke 4:6] . They lost the title deed to earth given to them by God.  And Satan the devil, now became the god of this world , 2Corn. 4:4 .  At this very hour he is the new landlord of this world ,and the world  is now under his control. Their disobedience brought a curse upon the whole world, affecting all of  humanity including all of nature ,and even affecting  the animal kingdom.

                     When God created the earth for mankind there was no sickness, disease, death, weeds, tornados, fires, droughts, thunder storms, earthquakes, violence, animals killing and eating other animals. All the bad we see in the world and upon the earth today came as a result of the downfall of mankind brought about by Adam and Eve back in the Garden of Eden.

                        When God created Adam and Eve they did not even know what evil was. Evil was not even in their nature, they only knew good.  But when they ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil when they yielded to the devils suggestions to question the words of God, then everything changed and all Hell literally broke loose. The Bible calls their disobedience sin.

                           Therefore ,we being descendants of Adam and Eve were born sinners ,with a rebellious nature in us ,and born into an earth that is now completely corrupted by a curse; where not one but two Kingdoms now exist, one is the Kingdom of darkness, the other the Kingdom of light, Col.1:13.

                         The mission of Jesus Christ to this earth was that of a Redeemer, a Savior. He came to take back all that was lost in the Garden, Mat. 18:11, &1 John 3:8 b . The Bible calls him the second [ last] Adam, 1 Corn,15 : 45-49. He came to deliver mankind from the power of darkness in this world, and open a way into the Kingdom of God, Col.1: 12-14 .           

             Whether you know it or not, there are two Kingdoms at war in this world at this very hour. And guess what the prize is? YOU!  Yes, Jesus came to this earth as a redeemer, as a savior for mankind, but God gave us the choice of whom we will follow.

          Jesus is a gift from God to all of mankind, John 3:16. But the gift must be received to be of any benefit to you. Let me explain a little. Doing wrong ,which in the Bible God calls sin ,requires a punishment and a penalty. We have all done wrong in some form or fashion. The Bible says ALL have sinned. We were born sinners, born under the control and power of the devil and his Kingdom , our minds being blinded by the devil, 2Corn. 4:4 and in the hereafter ,we were  headed for Hell which is the domain of the devil and his angels. So who needs Salvation? You and I do. We need a way out of this mess, and God in his great love for mankind already made all the provisions necessary when he sent his Son to earth to redeem those who would receive him, believe him, and follow him,  John 8:31-32, & Eph. 2:8-9.

                    Just as we were born sinners because of the disobedience of Adam and Eve, so also by receiving Jesus Christ we will become born again, John 3:5 and receive righteousness through Christ sacrifice,  Eph.2:8-9. When he died on the cross he became your substitute, and his death was the full payment for all of your sins and mine.  And it’s yours free, a gift, if you will only believe and receive it, Eph.2:8. You alone make the choice of where you will spend eternity.God gave everyone of us a free will and he will not infringe upon that .                  

                 The Bible says we cannot earn heaven as some mistakenly think, and have been taught in some religious circles . Some think, well, I’m a pretty good person; I will probably go to heaven when I die. The Bible says no one can do anything good enough to earn entrance into Heaven. You were born a sinner by natural birth through the fall of the first Adam,  and you must be born again through the sacrifice of the second[ last ]  Adam who the Bible calls Jesus Christ the Son of God,  1Corn. 15:45-49. You cannot come to God in your own way; you must come to God his way. And His way is through the sacrifice of his son, just for you.

                   I hope you will choose to receive the gift of God  which is Salvation through his Son. That you will give your entire life to God , and allow him to give you a new one in exchange.

                   Friend, prayer according to the Bible is simply talking to God. It is not repetitive words being said over and over again. It is not a prayer written down in a book someplace that you need to read or say again and again. No, prayer comes straight from the heart. It’s talking to God. straight from your heart. If you don’t know where to start, may I help you to ask God for Salvation his way?  Here is the prayer I prayed many years ago when I  gave my life to God and received that gift of Salvation. It is done by simple faith alone.

             “ Dear God,  I come to you as a sinner, I ask you to forgive me every sin I have ever committed. I believe as the bible says that Jesus died  and rose from the dead . As an act of faith I give you my whole life and ask you to give me the new life that’s promised in the bible . I ask  to be born again . Jesus Christ , come into my life, I receive you as my Savior . As an act of simple faith I receive forgiveness, I receive salvation and believe you have heard my prayer and answered it.   Thank you Father, in Jesus Name, Amen.

                        This entire prayer is based upon scriptures in the bible, it is coming to God his way, Rom. 10:9-10, & Eph.2:8-9. If you have prayed this prayer and meant it from the heart, be assured God has heard you and received you as his child. Don’t be concerned if you felt anything or not . You don’t need to feel anything, remember this is an act of faith.

                           Now, I want to explain something briefly. Spiritual things often do not make sense to our natural way of thinking or reasoning  but be assured God always backs up his word and performs it and in time things will manifest. If you have said that prayer then you need to tell someone you received Jesus as Savior,  why?  Because the Bible says to, see  Romans 10 : 9-10 . It says to believe in the heart and Confess [ or say  it ] with the mouth . Don’t reason it out, just do it. You need to get yourself a Bible and begin reading at the New Testament. This is where Christianity begins. Stay in that New Testament at least a full year, before reading anything else in the Bible .Read it daily. Jesus said, man does not live by bread alone, but by the word of God, Luke 4:4. Just like you need to eat food daily to sustain your natural life, so also,  you need spiritual food daily to sustain your spiritual life . The word of God is that spiritual food and it has power in it, Hebrews 4:12 . That power will transform your very life, Rom .12:2 .

        As you have received Christ, you have become a child of God through adoption Rom.8:15.  You are now an heir of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ  Rom. 8:17.  You need to get into the Bible and find out what you are joint heirs to! There are benefits for you for the here and now, as well as in the hereafter in eternity. But the only way to find out what you are heir to is to read Gods  last will and testament [ The  New Testament  in the Bible ] and find out what Jesus has purchased  for you  and exactly how to receive it. There is so much to know. It will take time. Your time invested in studying Gods word will bring its own rewards in your life, not only in the afterlife, but in the here and now where we so desperately need it as well.

                 As you spend time in prayer each day with God, all request should  be asked “ in the Name of Jesus “, John 14:14. This  majestic wonderful name guarantees us a hearing at the throne of Heaven as long as the request does not contradict Gods written word.  We must come to know God by the written word of God, not by a feeling . That word  discloses to us his thoughts, his will, his likes and dislikes, the requirements of answered  prayer as well as his love for you  etc.

               Regardless of what some think, you cannot live the Christian life without feeding on the written word of God, John 8; 31-32.  Find a church that believes the whole Bible is the word of God and teaches it and puts it into practice.  Be very sure they believe that the power of God is for today such as divine healing and miracles, as well as the supernatural Gifts of the Holy Spirit being for all believers today, 1Corn.12:1-11. 

                Friend,  Jesus is still healing people today just as he did when he physically walked this earth, Heb.13 :8& Acts 10:38. Our God is a supernatural God,  and still manifesting his supernatural miracle working power today among all those who will dare to believe his word , Mark 9:23& Heb.13:8 .
