This picture is of a bird in a Spruce tree in our front yard.  I think it might be a red capped chickadee.  Does anyone know what it is?

Hello Grandma, That is a Great photo and beautiful setting. . That bird is either a Chipping sparrow or an American tree sparrow.

Jude, I thought a Chickadee too! My dad said it is a Chipping Sparrow. :-)

Thank you everyone. He/she nests in that tree just outside my front deck. I was able to get very close so I thought it might be a chickadee since they are so friendly.
